handmade glass beads

More Moroccan Hollows

Still experimenting in this style- the metallic iridescence is difficult to convey in photos, much richer in person.

More work posted

The sale is going well, although I must admit that I didn’t dare wish for it to go as well as it did for fear of jinx-ing myself. So I’ve listed more work, otherwise the whole having a sale portion won’t work if there isn’t anything in the shop!
Picmonkey saved the day in helping me put these collages together quickly, how convenient- and most likely will become a new trend.

New Learning Curve and a SALE!

So we now have a super nifty new camera as a Christmas present from my in-laws that I’ve been trying to get the hang of using. I’ve been meaning to get some photos of my work to post on Etsy but keep getting distracted with taking cute photos of the kids, oopsie.
Today, just now actually, I sat down and took photos of my nearest bead and this is what’s what:

Still needs some work, but it will suffice for listing on Etsy. Just in case I don’t post beforehand, Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!
OH, Oh! I’ve decided to do a HUGE sale in my shop:
Code Gimme40 will give you 40% off everything in the shop!! From now until Christmas Eve, help empty my shop since momma has to pay for a new drier.

From Mole Hill to Mountain

I should know better than to procrastinate with this many sets to photograph and put up on Etsy. This happens to me every year after BABE- what is at first a mole hill becomes a mountain and so I continue to put off photographing 50+ sets of beads for the shop. So here is my first step, and you can be my witness 🙂 You can check out my flickr for more pics and size reference.

I think what is causing me the most angst is the thought of having to untie allll those sets to photograph them loose, and then retying them…so then the thought of ‘why not just photograph them tied?’. Although the rules of online selling recommends lots of photos, I’ll most likely err on the side of sanity and take pics as they are to save myself time. This way I know I’ll get them listed before Christmas, lol.

Post Etching – new beads

Here are some of the beads from a couple of posts ago, etched. My camera seems to be taking more grainy pictures for some reason..I’m trying to figure out what is different since I moved my photo tent to a different spot. I’m thinking I like them better etched, but everything looks better etched to me, haha!
